WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Voluntary supplemental insurance provides an additional level of financial protection in the event of a serious accident or illness. Receive cash benefits paid directly to you, unless otherwise assigned, when you’re sick or injured. You can use the cash to help cover expenses that major medical does not cover, like mortgage, groceries, or whatever you need. It’s like a safety net for you and your family.
How prepared are you to cover unplanned out-of-pocket costs?
PayPal has partnered with Aflac to offer voluntary supplemental group coverage to help you pay out-of-pocket expenses that your major medical insurance doesn't cover, so you can focus on recovery.
Aflac is different from major medical, because it’s insurance for daily living. It pays cash benefits directly to you, unless otherwise assigned, if you are ever in an accident or become seriously ill. You can use these benefits for whatever expenses you have. And rates don’t go up when you file a claim.
There are three plans available for you to consider:
Group accident insurance

Injuries happen. Focus on recovering instead of how to pay the injury bills. This plan provides you with cash benefits (unless otherwise assigned) throughout the different stages of care.

Group critical illness insurance
Group critical illness insurance
Critical illness insurance takes the sting out of paying for care when you can no longer care for yourself. You’ll be paid a lump-sum benefit to help you cover out-of-pocket expenses if you are diagnosed with a covered critical illness. You can receive a benefit of $15,000 or $30,000 for yourself, and your spouse can receive 50% of the amount of your policy.
