Digital physical therapy
Thrive’s digital physical therapy program, brought to you by Sword Health, can help treat back, joint, and muscle pain, connecting you with a physical therapist for clinically proven at-home treatment. Because of their digital-first, virtual-care interface, 83% of Sword users complete a recommended course of therapy and experience a reduction in pain over time as compared to 30% of traditional PT patients.
What’s included
After activating your benefits, you’ll receive customized guidance from a physical therapist and Thrive’s digital physical therapy kit with a tablet to guide you, help you track your progress, and provide real-time feedback during your sessions.
You can complete your sessions wherever and whenever it is convenient for you and access clinical resources and support anytime.
You also have access to Sword On-Call and The Academy through the Sword app. If you aren’t enrolled in a physical therapy program, you can still access Sword On-Call or The Academy by creating a Sword account.

Who’s eligible
If you’re enrolled in a Meritain Health plan, the Thrive digital physical therapy program is available to you and your eligible family members ages 13 and older, at no cost, as part of your PayPal benefits. Kaiser and HMSA members are not eligible at this time.

Digital pelvic health therapy
